Projection Designer Rasean Davonte Johnson and Scenic Designer Mariana Sanchez have created a stark white backdrop that acts as the barriers to the outside world as well as the visual projection screens. These screens are utilized to show real clips and flashback elements that highlight Ali’s journey as well as dive into the world of Jack Johnson, the first African-American Heavyweight champion of the world.
